Class Details
My group classes are taught at the Seasalter Christian Centre in Whitstable . It is advisable to book your place in advance as the classes can be very popular. The course consists of five 2½ hour classes over five weeks.
What you will learn:
- How the mind and emotions affect the body.
- Why labour hurts and why it doesn’t have to.
- Releasing fear, the enemy of labour,
- Preparing your mind and body for birthing.
- Avoiding artificial induction and episiotomy.
- Developing ultimate-depth relaxation.
- Understanding the stages of labour.
- Preparing your birth plan.
- Tapping into Nature’s own relaxant.
- Breathing your baby down to birth.
The cost is £295 for all five sessions, which includes the HypnoBirthing book, a CD and all the necessary handouts and materials. A deposit of £75 is taken at the time of booking and the remainder is payable at the start of the first class. Please come 15 minutes early to the first session to enable payment to be concluded without intruding into the time for the first class. Alternatively you can make full payment at the time of booking and receive a free birthing ball.
A tax free, non means tested Government grant of £190 to help women prepare for the birth of their baby is available to all Mums over 25 weeks pregnant. A signed form is available from your midwife. For more details please visit the Directgov website
