Stop Smoking

Smoking cessation therapy takes just one session, of one and a half to two hours. It works using the power of your subconscious mind to change your thought processes regarding smoking, making it easy to stop. Smokers often believe that they are addicted to nicotine.

The physical addiction to nicotine is however minimal and it is in fact the HABIT which smokers are addicted to. The easiest way to beat a habit is to remove the psychological belief system attached to it.

Using willpower alone can often result in irritability, cravings and sometimes weight gain as the subconscious mind fights hard to maintain the habit that it has formed, despite your conscious wish to stop. Using a combination of positive suggestion and visualisation I can make it easy for you to give up smoking without craving cigarettes.

In fact you will be surprised to find that you feel confident and relaxed not only after the session, but continuing throughout the following weeks. Your friends and family will be amazed at how you have given up so easily!

Stop Smoking

“Hypnosis is the most effective way of giving up smoking, according to the largest ever scientific comparison of ways of breaking the habit. Willpower, it turns out, counts for very little” New Scientist, Vol 136 issue 1845 31 Oct ’92.

This study conducted at Iowa University by Viswesvaran & Schmidt involved 72,000 people. New scientist went on to say that “David Pollack, director of ASH, said he was surprised  by the success of hypnosis, which anecdotal evidence had suggested was not very effective. One organisation not surprised by the results is the British Society of Medical and Dental hypnosis. Christopher Pattinson, the Society’s academic chairman, said that current hypnosis techniques are a far cry from their popular image of music-hall tricks involving swinging fob watches. The latest relaxation techniques achieve success rates of up to 60 per cent from a single session, he said.”

Will I put on weight if I give up?

Any possible alternative habits such as overeating will be taken care of in the carefully worded session so that you feel great and confident that you do not need to resort to alternatives.

What will happen if people tempt me afterwards?

As you will be able to give up without irritability or tension you will have no need to be tempted to continue smoking. Your desire to smoke to reduce stress will not be there.
